As you have all seen by now, New Mexico State University (NMSU) has announced that it will shut down in in April of this year. While this is indeed sad news, OS/2 VOICE has stepped forward to help mitigate the issue to the best of our ability.

Several people have already come forward with the intent to create a mirror of the Hobbes archive. While this a noble goal, the community needs one central master archive where people can upload files. From this archive others mirrors can then be synched.

To achieve this goal of a single master archive, we have done the following:

A) VOICE reached out to NMSU and asked if SOMEHOW a redirect can be made from to; there are so many references on the internet that point to the old site. We have suggested to NMSU to put a up static HTML file explaining where to go. This is an going discussion with NMSU, but it might not happen.

B) We will work to synch the current Hobbes content to so no files are lost.

C) Files for can now be uploaded with plain FTP. Connect with an FTP client to and login with 'anonymous'. There is a bit of information there that explains how the upload process works.

D) We are reaching out to OS/2 websites to start to point to
