DFSee 15.4 released, including UEFI capable bootable USB stick

Sunday October 28, 2018  By: Jan van Wijk

DFSee version 15.4 has been released.

MINOR release, meaning you get it for FREE if you have a 15.x key already.

Introduces the UEFI capable 64-bit DFSPUP64 bootable USB stick (Xenial64) for
modern systems while retaining the older Slacko 32-bit version for older ones.

It has nice improvements in several areas:

- A MUCH faster 'analyse disks' variant (DFSFAST) for existing partitions
- Automatic disable of (Windows or OS/2) mouse-marking, to use TxWin marking
- Revamped and more complete Help menu
- Display of (IDE/SATA) disk serial numbers in the Linux version
- Logfile (dfswork) not forced on startup anymore, use -l or menu to start one

As usual there are also several minor problem fixes and enhancements.
For details, see below.

Note: Version 14.8 (or later) users can update directly using the menu:

Help->
Program Updates / Downloads ->
Get latest STABLE update

(Works with the OS/2, Windows, Linux and macOS versions, if WGET is there)

DFSee is a very powerful disk-utility with disk partitioning, smart imaging
or cloning of partitions or complete disks, HEX/binary disk or file editing,
filesystem and disk analysis, directory/file browsing with edit/view/copy
capabilities and much more ...
