DFSee 16.3 released; New DFSPUPPY versions

zaterdag, 03. augustus 2019  Door: Jan van Wijk

DFSee version 16.3 has been released, with new DFSPUPPY versions and more.

MINOR release, meaning you get it for FREE if you have a 16.x key already.

The release replaces the existing DFSPUP64 with the new 'BionicPup' release
from 2019 that is based on the popular Ubuntu 18.04 Linux distribution.

The DFSPUPPY suite now consists of three variants:

- DFSPUP64: 64-bit, UEFI-capable but REQUIRES a 64-bit CPU (recommended)
- DFSPUP32: 32-bit, BIOS, may do UEFI, runs on 32-bit CPU (alternative)
- DFSPUPPY: 32-bit, BIOS-ONLY, runs on 32-bit CPU. using a
Slackware-based Linux distribution/kernel (original)

Each has their own menu-item to download the IMZ image (Help menu)
and to actually create the stick (Scripts menu).

Between those three, you should be able to find a bootable USB-stick
that works for about any system ...

Of course, as usual, there are also smaller improvements and bug fixes.

DFSee is a very powerful disk-utility with disk partitioning,
filesystem and disk analysis, file recovery/UNDELETE and
smart imaging or cloning of partitions or complete disks.

It will require an upgrade if you currently have a registration for an older version:
