Major Major version 2.8 released
Version 2.8 of Major Major is now available. You can get it from
www.pmoylan.org/pages/os2/Major.html
or from
ftp://ftp.pmoylan.org/Major/major_2.8.zip
or from Hobbes incoming.
Major Major is a mailing list manager, which among other things is being
used to distribute announcements on this mailing list. You can use it to
run your own mailing lists. The available options include one-way
announcement lists, general discussion lists, and moderated lists.
This version of Major Major expects to use INIDATA.DLL and XDS230M.DLL,
which are not included. If you don't already have them, you can download
ftp://ftp.pmoylan.org/software/inidata_1.0.zip
which contains the two DLLs. (And the source code for INIDATA.DLL) This
should be a one-off download, because is unlikely that INIDATA.DLL will
be revised very often.
Recommendation: although these DLLs can be anywhere on your LIBPATH,
ArcaOS users should probably put them in \usr\local\lib. If your \usr
doesn't have a "local" subdirectory, please read the INIData
documentation for the suggested subdirectory structure.
